Beaches

The Salt Rock area is well endowed with some of the most beautiful beaches on the North Coast. The beaches offer wonderful quiet strolls along the rocky shores, or go snorkeling (Snorkeling trips and Gear can be arranged by Tidal Tao, rated by Trip Advisor as the number 1 attraction in the Ballito area) The area is renowned as some of the most rich coastal areas in South Africa and home to the Southern most shallow water corals in the world. 

The beaches are also excellent for spotting marine mammals, Dolphins can be seen regularly, especially in the early mornings and Humpbacked Whales make their annual migration between July and November.

Shopping 

B & B By The Sea is within 5 minutes drive of Tiffany's Shopping Centre which is well equipped with all the essential shops, supermarkets, doctors and hair dressers / spas. Nearby in Ballito, there is ample shopping at the Lifestyle Centre and just 25 minutes away is Gateway, all the shopping, cinemas and entertainment you could want. Or visit the Litchi Orchard and Burnedale Farm for a great selection of boutique and craft shops. 

Sport

The area is home to no less than 5 world class golf courses. Holla Trails offers excellent Mountain Biking and Club Venture has Zip-lining, Paintball and other adventure based activities. For the more adventurous, Microlight flights over the beautiful coastline are always available. Some beaches offer great surfing and the area is home to the annual Ballito Pro International Surf Competition in July

There are numerous coffee shops and restaurants to suit virtually any taste.
